![]() Unfortunately we had a problem yesterday with the database which leaded to a data loss. The last backup i had was from 08/2010 - as you can see ![]() Bad luck - but at least i could recover the years 2001 - 2010. The data loss occured during a "fight" against a spamer which had hacked one of our @mmc4life.com eMail adresses. Our server sended thousend of spam mails that was the reason why the homepage was down pretty often in the last days. I am working on it and maybe we will also get back our data. |

![]() With the recent release of StarCraft 2, it hasn't taken long for it to be globally adopted as the news eSports darling with a rash of tournaments being announced and expectations of many more on the horizon. The biggest tournament announced to date is the GomTV Global SC2 League with over $500,000 in prizes for the remainder of the 2010 year. In the Americas, in addition to the announcement that SC2 will be added to the MLG Pro Circuit, the IEM American Championships will be running to determine who makes it to the IEM Global Challenge at Gamescon. ![]() Starcraft 2 has been out for six days now and already tournaments are being announced and are getting underway. MMC will be represented by MMC|Dragonfood and MMC|InsOp in the Starcraft inCup. The KO rounds will begin this weekend. MLG (Major League Gaming) has announced it will be adding Starcraft 2 to its game lineup. They will be hosting their first major event for the game in Raleigh, North Carolina from August 27-29. |

![]() Blizzard Entertainment's greatly anticipated RTS sequel "Starcraft 2" will be releasing tonight at 12:01 A.M. in North America and Europe. In celebration of the release of Starcraft 2 MMC is hosting the "Can You Beat Us Challenge" Try to beat the members of MMC to 1000 wins with a single race in Starcraft 2. ![]() Today the Starcraft 2 Beta will be closing down for final changes before the game?s release next week. Additionally, a new patch has been released. Patch 19 makes no balance changes, however; it does fix a few bugs. The changes are listed below. General
-The Mac StarCraft II Editor is now available! Bug Fixes - Burrowed Ultralisks now have the correct 500 hit points while burrowed. - Fixed an issue where custom maps utilizing custom loading screens could cause players to lag or be dropped from Battle.net. - Fixed an issue during replays when rewinding could cause the replay to desync. - Fixed an issue with in-game menus causing performance issues. |

The new site will feature player profiles, ladders, a new forum with new features, and even a place for E-Sports within the community. ![]() While the beta hasn't officially returned as of this posting, all signs are pointing to its imminent return, which means good news for MMC and StarCraft 2 players worldwide. Today, the beta client was updated with a new install and patch notes for Patch #16 were released. The patch addresses some Battle.net features such as adding a character code for friend list searching, updated achievements and portraits, as well as unlocking all of the quick match modes (1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4, and FFA). On the balance side, all the changes were aimed at Zerg, with the frenzy spell being removed and the Ultralisk receiving immunity to stuns. Additionally, rally points now move units in the move command instead of in the attack move command. You can see the full patch notes below.Rally points now behave as a move command, instead of an attack move command.
Enabled the ability to manually add a StarCraft II character friend using the player's character code. Character code is a server-assigned numerical code that is displayed within the Add Friend panel. Battle.net Achievements & Rewards have been updated. All Quick Match modes are now available: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and Free For All. All A.I. difficulties are now available for play. Cooperative matchmaking versus A.I. players is now available as a play mode. Enabled cross-game social features between World of Warcraft and StarCraft II. Balance Changes ZERG Infestor Frenzy spell removed. Infested Terran spell added. Overseer Infested Terran spell removed. Ultralisk Now immune to stuns and mind control. |
