The situation is probably more complicated than anyone in MMC knows...this happens very often with ambitious new teams that promise large sums of money to a large pool of talented players, and are unable to hold up their end of the promise for some reason that comes up later. It reminds me of TmG which went under after holding places 1-3 at grand finals for DoW in 2005, and buying up all the top Halo 2 players that year as well...the team fell apart and barely any of the players, some as high-profile as that Halo player Zyos, didn't get their pay iirc. Shit happens, and it's always worth looking into the contract and making sure your team will hold up their end of the promise.

the prob is just even if u have a fine contract when the project, or in case the persons behind it have to pay with their own money, have no money at all. And its way too hard to check their bank accounts before u join a clan^^

So I guess for esports its gonna be trust what is needed.
