Wow after this thrilling day we have the final: h2o vs grunt! Great job Ryan

What are your thoughts about the games in the last days? How could andi drop out against thedemon? How lucky are the bo1 games?

Let us go through the favorits:
NaturePhoenix - Well he had a monster group and bo1 is much luck.
StarSky - Imo the most talented player but he showed not his best performance. He didn't prepare that good so he dropped out to guys that trained much more than him.
TheDemon - Strong performance. He benefit from the hard training with h2o.
Grunt - Lost one game to h2o but won everything else... he seems to become the machine that he used to be
Luigi - He won vs StarSky in the group which was bo1 but still a strong performance.
Airlity - Unfortunatly he lost his game vs Asgard so he had to face h2o in the playoffs where he suprised with a russia rush and took one game.
_H2O - He prepared very hard and deserved his wins.

H2o told me that the games vs thedemon were really amazing. They trained hardcore before wcg so both know what each other knows what the other guy is doing. He thinks that Demon is better than Grunt which give us great hope for the finals.

just showed how shitty nature actully is, and how a diff civ (russia) can kill jap as every other game is jap vs jap, not much experience vs other civs.

go rookie ryan !!

best-of-one: Just one game decides the winner. best-of-three (bo3) means that u have to win 2 games to win the matchup.

Just came back home.
My opinions are here so far.
H2o and Demon played a very lot of games, developped a very nice BO they didnt share with anyone which game them a very good opening position.
--> H2o won his group with no probs.
--> Demon defeated me due to strats, but as well more feeling he had cos of much harder training.

Grunt was lucky to get 2nd otherwise he would get passed demon for sure. However grunt played like all nights through to adapt to h2o's and demon's BO and almost won the final games. The last game was pretty much the most intense jap mirror ive seen so far.

For Luigi and NP, they trained a lot too, however they didnt get the good BO and stood no chance vs it. I guess if I had it and wouldnt have played crap in first game (as I like always do) I should have won group, but well next time mby.

Overall u can say training pays off, but Im still happy for my performance at least on Saturday (could keep up with only 1/5 of the training).
Grunt was a bit lucky cos of the easy bracket after his group, but he still shows that he can play very well.

GJ for Ryan and Demon =)

You say that you are happy to keep up with only 1/5 the training. Imo u would have been top2 with 2/5 of the training - which means it's sad that u didn't prepare more But it's as usual with you - starskys hardest opponent is starsky.
