 Not even 24 hours ago  tEk officially announced their so-called Spring Tourney which is limited to players with a PR higher than 28 and an elorating above 1900.Nontheless, there are already 106 players registered in the official thread, where you can still sign in until 23.56, 04-10-07. Apart from the prize money of $200 for the winner and $50 for the 2nd place, there is another very interesting detail: Each civilization can only be used once during the whole tourney, what will definetely prevent some spain mirrors.  The Best of the Best Tournament is finally coming to an end. The semifinals included four absolute top players, two of them being germans. In four games our MMC|StarSky was able to defeat  [hope]Ruthless__ 3-1 and is now looking forward to the final game of the tournament against his long lasting rival [SkWzZ]NaturePhoenix who defeated  [SkWzZ]Ourk 3-0.StarSky as well as NaturePhoenix proved to be the two best AoE3 players at the moment when it comes to serious competitive tournaments.  Yesterday we could finally play our first game in the second season of TWC in the RTS League. The opponent was the well known team of  Nublex [nex], which might be our toughest competitor for the top spot.With a team, which was never seen before consisting of MMC|MastorMMC|NightScr3amMMC|StarSkywe had a good start, and were able to defeat DratekM4rKysun-czwith the result of 2-0 in two 13min games. After 5 suspense-packed matches MMC|StarSky fighting with Dutch, French and Germans against [SkWzZ]Amasis' Sioux he finally won 3-2 and made it to the semi-final where he has to face [hope]Ruthless__ who clearly defeated his clanmate [hope]Flooky 3-0.In 5 spain vs french games MMC|NightScr3am lost vs [SkWzZ]Ourk 2-3. Now Ourk has to defend his clanmate who also had a hard matchup: [SkWizZ]NaturePhoenix won 3-2 vs  [DLX]GinPico. Afterall these games showed that the most player on the top are pretty equally skilled and the day condition can decide every game. |

Some hours ago, the RTSL coverage staff published its previews for the upcoming season 2 including their predictions for each division. According to the author Roark, MMC's Division is "the veritable "Group of Death"" with "three top clans [...] talented enough to go far in the playoffs".However, his prediction for MMC itself is quite clear: "The emerging frontrunner will most likely be TWC heavyweight MMC. MMC has remained out of the winner's circle since season 1 of the vanilla league, but has built a very strong team to make a run at it this season." Thus, the predicted rank of MMC is the first place before nex and _RoM_.Meanwhile, in the general preview for TWC season 2, published a day before, MMC is predicted to finish at the 3rd place after SkWizZ and hope, the dominating clans of the last seasons.To read the whole division 2 preview as well as the other previews, check out the season 2 coverage forums. |
