After [us] MMC.e-bug|KhuFu has beaten aX.Xeon 2-1 to win third place in the CNC3 tournament we see today the final of the AoE3 tournament between [us] MMC.e-bug|_H2O and [kr] Grunt. The final games will start at 12:00 pm.

The match for third place had just finished in the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Command and Conquer 3 as our player [us]MMC.e-bug|KhuFu has beaten [de]aX.Xeon 2-1 to win third place in the tournament a stop the German team from taking the top three places. In the finals, [de]d.Dackel took down his countrymen [de]Heckenheinrich to claim the title as best in the world. Congratulations to all three players. Tomorrow we look forward to the finals of the Age of Empires 3 tournament where our player [us]MMC.e-bug|_H2O takes on the defending champion [kr]iamgrunt in a rematch of the group stage where _H2O was victorious.

Important day for MMC as the playoff started.

[clip=more...]There was a three-ring circus because of a stage match between sharp and Xeon. sharp, seventeen years old, was not allowed to play on stage, because the standard version of Kanes Wrath in Germany is for persons older than 18 years. There were some policemen, too. It was not clear if sharp could play the match against Xeon, because the WCG let him play a stage match with the wrong version, yesterday.
You can imagine how nervous sharp might be and how bad nervousness is, when you have very difficult matches.
Well, sharp got the OK to play against Xeon in another room. Xeon won the first mnatch unfortunately. There was a blue screen on Xeons pc during the second match. Thereafter Xeons girlfriend passed out.

Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties
Our three members [de]Andreas "MMC.e-bug|StarSky (2nd)" Hefter, [us]Ryan "MMC.e-bug|_H2O" Mancl (1st), and [jp]Takuyo �MMC.e-bug|Airlity� Sato advanced to the final stage of Age of Empires 3! There we have the following situation: _H2O has to face Airlity, whilst Starsky has to face [de]TheDemon. All games of the final stage are in the best-of-3 and single elimination mode (until now they were bo1).

Command and Conquer 3: Kanes Wrath
Both [at]Bernhard "MMC.e-bug|Dragonfood" Kainhofer (1st of group D) and [us]Silverio "MMC.e-bug|sharp" Balzano (2nd of group D) advanced today. At the final stage we have the following situation: sharp has to face [de]Leon �aX.Xeon� Machens and Dragonfood has to face [us]David �MMC.e-bug|KhuFu� Lathrop (2nd of group A).

Both Dragonfood and sharp won their matches against Brossea!
Dragonfood won against Ravana, too. So Dragonfood is qualified for the final stage.
sharp has very good chances - if he will win versus Ravana (live stream see above), he is as good as qualified, too. If he would lose, the match versus Dragonfood would be very important for sharp.[/clip]

The German-speaking real time strategy homepage and broadcast RTS Cups interviewed [at] Bernhard �MMC.e-bug|Dragonfood� Kainhofer at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals 2008 on November 6th.

Dragonfood represents [at] Austria and MMC.eSports in Command & Conquer 3: Kanes Wrath at the World Cyber Games. He is in group D, which consists of seven players, among others our member [us] Silverio �MMC.e-bug|sharp� Balzano and the [ch] Swiss representant Brossea. Dragonfood must come in first or second to qualify for the final stage.

Here is a short summary of the interview for everybody who does not understand German:
Dragonfood told he has trained very much for the Grand Finals, about 400 games in three weeks. His main training partner has been Technique from the [nl] Netherlands, who is favourite for the first place of group C. Dragonfood does not think that he would have problems to qualify for the final stage, but the match against sharp could be difficult. The most inconvenient opponent for Dragonfood was the winner of the German WCG qualifier: [de] Dackel. Dragonfood said, Dackel was the only really good GDI player and you had to be very attentive against GDI.

Both Dragonfood, sharp, and Technique will play today, on November 7th their group matches. We expect that they will not have problems to qualify for the final stage, which will begin on November 8th.
